New laws and regulations are forcing both corporations and financial institutions to rethink the way they handle different payment methods. Other issues, including privacy demands and anti-money laundering requirements, have helped foster an explosion of innovative new systems for processing payments.

The Journal of Payment Systems Law is your guide to the legal implications of conducting business in this new environment. Articles and columns in the Journal explore developments in the law relating to new alternative systems including:

As well as coverage of established systems, such as:

You’ll learn about federal and state laws and regulatory developments that affect payment systems, from the UCC to the Electronic Funds Transfer Act and the Expedited Funds Availability Act. You’ll also stay on top of issues and developments related to Check 21.

You’ll learn how newer systems can limit your bank’s exposure to fraud, forgery, and hacking. And you’ll always be aware of new risks as they arise – the journal is updated eight times each year.
